She continued her education at Northwestern University and graduated with a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy. With an interest in outpatient orthopedics, Kara joined McMinnville Physical Therapy. Kara enjoys manual therapy and uses her skills to evaluate and treat patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries. She values time with her patients, allowing her to educate them on posture, body mechanics, self-help techniques and exercise programs to help reduce pain and improve function quickly. As one component of her physical therapy education, Kara had the opportunity to further specialize in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders. During this time Kara realized the impact physical therapy had on the quality of her patients‚ lives, allowing them to return to their favorite activities without the fear of incontinence or lack of bathroom access. Kara recognizes the need for physical therapy for the treatment of pelvic floor disorders and is continuing her education in this area. Outside of work, Kara enjoys going on adventures with her husband and two dogs. Their adventures include hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, rock climbing, scuba diving and most other activities that take place in nature.
